Innovative, research-based approach to education, providing visual access to language for deaf/hard-of-hearing AND hearing students, alike. This inclusive environment removes the need for segregated, self-contained classes & creates a sense of linguistic community.
All instructional programming is designed and supervised by a licensed educator with advanced degrees. Educational plans are developed based on interests and needs of the learners to foster motivation and success.
Students are exposed to visual language through American Sign Language (ASL) & cued language, which provides multi-sensory input for language development and proficiency!
Deaf/hard-of-hearing students further develop their American Sign Language (ASL) proficiency & acquire English naturally through visual immersion using cued language. This provides comprehensible input to language, utilizing their visual strengths coupled with any available residual hearing.
Hearing students acquire a new language! Immersion techniques are utilized to develop students' knowledge of and skills in American Sign Language (ASL) while learning content in core academics.
Research details the numerous benefits of learning multiple languages, such as increased brain stimulation that leads to higher IQs.
Learn how to provide your children visual access to your home language to support natural language acquisition and foster cultural connections, as well as learning American Sign Language (ASL).
