Jaemi Hagen (pronouns: he/him/his and they/them/theirs) received his bachelor degree in Psychology in 2019 with two minors in Leadership and Neuroscience. He will obtain a Master of Social Work in May 2021 from Gallaudet University.
A Deaf, native Minnesotan with a hearing family, Jaemi is a native Cuer who also uses spoken English and American Sign Language. He is passionate about social justice, community engagement, and leadership. Jaemi has experience working with hearing, Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, and DeafBlind people in various settings. His job experiences range from working in a school with middle and high schoolers to working at Ramsey County Attorney’s Office, as well as interning at RespectAbility in Rockville, Maryland.
Currently, Jaemi is a contractor with the Minnesota Commission of the Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard-of-Hearing. For fun, during the long Minnesota winters, he skis, snowboards, and ice skates. He has also been a volunteer ski and snowboard instructor for many years.
